Are You Having A Stroke: 5 Indicators
There is nothing pretty about having a high risk of having a stroke. I've blogged about stroke risk in the past. Now it's time to talk about what it feels like to have a stroke. I used a combination of talking to a physician friend, someone I know who has had a stroke, and looking on line. Here are a few symptoms that should have you worried and dialing 911.
1. Sudden weakness or numbness of the face, arm or leg on one side of the body
2. Sudden loss of vision, particularly in one eye
3. Loss of speech, trouble talking or understanding what others are saying
4. Sudden onset of a severe headache
5. Unexplained dizziness, unstable walking or falling
Screening for stroke risk can help you talk with a professional about your risk of stroke and how to know if your having a stroke.
